Hello again,
Avocados. Who
doesn't love avocados. They taste great, you can do a lot with them and they
are very good for you. Not that I care most about the health aspect as I do
about the taste.
I cannot remember
how many nights I had tortilla chips with avocado for dinner and it wasn't even
sad because it tasted great and I knew it wasn't doing bad things to my body.
If it happened to be a Friday night, I was making nachos that would have otherwise
been incomplete without the ever so important guacamole.

Guacamole can seem
complicated, but really all it is is mashing up some avocados and tomatoes
together.
Here's what you'll
need:
- 3 Ripe avocados
- 1 tomato
- Squeeze of lime
- A dash of salt & pepper
Here's what you
gotta to
- Add avocados in a food processor.
- Cut tomato in four and add it in.
- Add a bit of lime juice along with some salt and pepper and mix well until preferred texture.
- Enjoy with tortilla chips or anything else you feel like.
Notes: The most
important thing about this recipe are the avocados. You must make sure they are
ripe meaning they are soft and easy to squeeze. If they are too ripe, they will
look a bit brown. You can still eat them but it wont be as pretty and green as
you would expect one to look like.
Secondly, the lime
juice adds a bit of zest to the mix but its main purpose is to prevent the dip
from going brown. Needless to say it will still happen if you leave the
guacamole out for a while. Best thing to do would be to eat it fresh as soon as
possible.
I do not expect you
guys to have pricey appliances that take up a lot of room to make guacamole or
hummus. You can get a manual food processor for $ 20 that is also easy to
clean. I bought mine at Canadian Tire and it works great. I also use it to make
hummus. If you're really in a pickle you can mash the avocados with a fork and
chop the tomato into really small pieces.

Finally, feel free
to add anything else into that you think would make it better and make it to
the consistency you prefer. Whether you prefer your guacamole smooth or chunky,
make it to your own.
Enjoy!

Awesome post, I'll have to try it sometime.
